When you buy a Toyota, you’re not just getting an excellent vehicle: you get the added peace of mind of a comprehensive warranty that protects it. In the unlikely event of an issue with the labor or parts used in its manufacture, the issue will be corrected at no cost by Toyota-trained technicians using Toyota-approved replacement parts. We want to tell you more about your protection under the 2025 Toyota warranty.

Basic Warranty

This warranty covers most components and systems in your vehicle, except those covered by other warranties below. As we saw above, warranty-related repairs are completed for free. Certain repair situations are not covered by warranty, including damage from inadequate maintenance, accidental damage, and damage caused by unauthorized parts. These situations are explained in detail in the warranty handbook.

Coverage applies for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Some systems have reduced coverage, and we’ll look at them next.

Reduced Coverage

Wheel alignment, wheel balancing, and refrigerant recharge are covered for one year or 12,000 miles. After this period, they will be provided at no cost if performed as part of repair covered by warranty.

Powertrain Warranty

Your engine, transaxle, and FWD system are protected by this warranty. All components are covered, including the water pump, timing belt/chain, transaxle case and all internal parts, and the final drive housing and all its parts. Coverage lasts for five years or 60,000 miles.

Hybrid System Warranty

If you have a hybrid, its specialized systems are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles. These systems include the hybrid control module, inverter with converter, and the hybrid battery control module.

Hybrid Battery Warranty

This warranty applies for ten years or 150,000 miles. The battery will slowly lose capacity over time, but this decline is very slow and naturally occurring.

Restraint System Warranty

Your seatbelts, airbags, and all components in both systems are protected against any defect for five years or 60,000 miles.

Corrosion Perforation Warranty

Rust and corrosion can quickly damage and eventually destroy any untreated metal. Your Toyota is protected against these threats by specialized protective coatings applied to all metal panels and body sections during construction. If rust or corrosion forms a hole through any metal despite these coatings, the affected component will be replaced at no charge. This protection applies for five years and unlimited mileage.

Towing

If your Toyota has a coverage-related issue and can’t be driven, towing is available to the closest Toyota dealer at no cost.

These are just some of the protections you receive when you buy a Toyota. If you’d like to know more about your warranty, contact us today at Woodrum Toyota of Macomb in Macomb, IL.
