Exterior Design

The Platinum grade offers a bi-tone paint finish. This finish applies a different color to the hood, roof, and trunk compared to the rest of the body. The lighting system on all models consists of Daytime Running Lights and a rear taillight assembly that spans the width of the vehicle. These components contribute to the overall visual profile of the car. The wheels are available in sizes of either 19 inches or 21 inches, depending on the specific trim level chosen by the consumer. 

Powertrain and Performance

There are two primary hybrid powertrain options for the 2026 Toyota Crown. The XLE, Limited, and Nightshade trim levels utilize a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system. This system produces a total of 236 horsepower. It is designed to prioritize fuel efficiency while providing standard operation. 

The Platinum grade uses the Hybrid MAX powertrain. This system combines a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with electric motors. The Hybrid MAX configuration produces 340 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Every 2026 Toyota Crown comes with an all-wheel-drive system as standard equipment. This system is intended to assist with traction during various weather conditions, such as those found in the Midwest. 

Interior and Technology Features 

The interior of the 2026 Toyota Crown contains various electronic systems for communication and entertainment. The dashboard features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. This screen serves as the interface for the Toyota Audio Multimedia system. The system is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to connect their smartphones to the vehicle. 

Higher trim levels include an 11-speaker JBL premium audio system. This system provides sound throughout the cabin. The interior layout is designed to accommodate five passengers and includes standard seating materials that vary by trim level. 

Safety Systems 

The 2026 Toyota Crown is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This is a suite of safety technologies provided by the manufacturer. The suite includes several features:
